So we’re here to report on the most exciting news to ever come out – a music tour of Game of Thrones is about to embark on a tour of the US, promising to bring the Seven Kingdoms to audiences everywhere. Could there be anything better than that?
The 28-day tour of North America will feature music from the hit HBO series, led by show composer Ramin Djawadi, as well as key scenes from the series and extra footage that’s been shot just for the live dates… so it’s an absolute must for die-hard Westeros fans, we reckon.
According to Time magazine, the first concert will take place on February 15th next year in Kansas City, Missouri, before heading off to the bright lights of cities like Los Angeles and New York. You can get your tickets from the Live Nation website from August 13th, but we’re pretty sure you’ll have to move quickly if you want to make it to one of the gigs.
“The idea behind this is to showcase how the music enhances those experiences for the audience. There’s some great, big exciting moments, like for example ‘Mesa’, which was when Daenerys frees all the slaves and people will remember that very uplifting moment, but then we will perform some of these heartbreaking moments with real musicians,” Mr Djawadi told the news source.
Now that Game of Thrones season six has come to an end, there’s no way of getting your fix for practically an entire year when season seven is set to hit our TV screens. Until then, having something to look forward to like these live shows could be the tonic you need.
